Set on 88 beautiful acres, Old Westbury Gardens, turn-of-the-century home of John S. Phipps, features a magnificent Charles II style mansion named Westbury House. Its grand architecture and generous proportions are accented by fine eighteenth century furnishings and fine arts collected by the family during its fifty years of residence.

The house is surrounded by formal gardens, tree-lined walks, grand allees, ponds, and statuary. Considered the finest English Garden in the United States, Old Westbury's plantings include historic varieties, new hybrids, and experimental plants.

Today Old Westbury offers many Family Activities and events throughout the year, including car shows, workshops, lectures, and more.

A calendar of the many events offered is available for the asking.

It is also a popular place for visits and tours by Groups of 25 or more adults and children. Old Westbury Gardens will work with local school districts to create structured visits for student groups.
