Housed in the historic Dunham's/Parry's Grist Mill, the Hunterdon Art Center presents outstanding exhibitions of the works of major contemporary artists. About a dozen different exhibitions per year are drawn from Hunterdon's permanent collections and various artists and institutions. One recent exhibition is typical of the quality to be found at Hunterdon. The Fine Art of Illustration, featured 70 years of the best work by artists such as Norman Rockwell, Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyeth, and other greats. Families can also enjoy a variety of special events, workshops, and other activities.

For children, Art Workshops help them exercise their creativity, and adults can choose from a number of courses delivered in professional studios. Children can also have birthday parties here, with a professionally supervised art or craft activity.

School Groups of any age can enjoy a hands-on Workshop. Each workshop is related to the current exhibition, so call for information.
