This wonderful museum
for 3- to 10-year olds features more than thirty-five interactive exhibits
that are there for kids to use as well as see. The brightly colored exhibits
highlight eight major topics:
- Creative Expression with a Dance Studio where kids can learn
tap dancing or classical ballet.
- Science exhibits include a Discoveries Room where youngsters
can perform experiments with magnets, dig fossils, explore the world of
dinosaurs, discover planets, and more.
- Children can create their own Art masterpieces in a well-equipped
studio
- The cockpit of a real Piper airplane, the cab of a truck,
a real VW Bug, Firetruck, and more are here for kids to fly or drive.
- Around the World features toys from many different countries.
- Computers, so important for today's children, are available,
with programs on math, music, spelling, language arts, or creative arts.
- Children can learn a bit about how a community works through
role-playing in the 911 Emergency Area or shopping at the Grocery Store.
- The TV Newsroom lets children write, produce and direct their
own news programs and watch them.
It's great to be able to learn and have fun at the same time.
The Museum offers a variety of services, including fantastic Birthday
Parties and even a new drop-off service. Children can spend supervised
time having fun at the Museum while parents get their chores done.Groups
are welcome, and will be treated not only to the exhibits, but to a Puppet
Show, Storytelling, or some other supervised activity. Supervision requirements:
at least one adult for every four children, whether with an organized group
or a family. |
