Paintball is more than running around in the woods shooting your friends with paint pellets. It's an organized game with rules, tactics, and an objective, and it's lots of fun. 

Skirmish is one of the nation's best. Its 700 wooded acres feature nearly 40 playing fields and 4 mock villages for guerilla activities. Some 700 people play at Skirmish every day. Individuals can join an existing team, and groups can form teams of their own. Games can be combined with whitewater rafting from spring through fall (see Pocono Whitewater Adventures). About 90 minutes north of Philadelphia, 2½ hours west of New York.

Here before the famous movie, Water World features a number of slides, a log flume, a children's play area, picnic areas. There are even volleyball courts, a deck hockey rink, and video games -- something for the whole family. About half an hour west of Philadelphia, 2 hours southwest of New York.
