This beautiful little farm house is named after its location -- before the house was here, folks used to catch the ferry at Church Landing to go to church in Wilmington. Today bridges have replaced ferries, dispensing with the hassle of the fifteen-minute boat ride as well as the scenery and charm.

All of that is here at the Museum, and visitors will enjoy a Guided Tour of the period rooms, furnished as they could have been between 1840 and 1860. Two outbuildings, an outhouse and a washhouse, can also be seen. The grounds include beautiful flower and herb gardens.

The Tour is conducted by a docent who tells of the area's history and answers questions. Groups are welcome, as well as individuals. This is a popular destination for School Groups.

Each spring the Museum has its annual Day at the Farm, This popular family outing includes exhibits and demonstrations of farm-related crafts such as weaving, canning and rushing, quilting, whittling, decoy carving, and other activities. The kids can enjoy a pony ride, and everyone will enjoy the Civil War Encampment.
