Though primarily an educational facility for School Groups, many of the activities listed here are available for individuals and families on weekends.

Johnson's Corner is a working farm that grows a variety of produce throughout the seasons. Corn, peaches, strawberries, peas, pumpkins, and other crops are grown here -- all available on a "pick-your-own" basis. Two fun crops that can be picked here are popcorn and peanuts!

Throughout its operating season of late March through December, Johnson's Corner offers some pretty neat group programs (for 15 or more children, Pre-K through Grade 3). Each enhances the study of science, history, art and language. To give you an idea, here are a few hour-long springtime programs.

#1 Spring Tour: Spring Egg Hunt Hayrides

Children gets a container to put found eggs (candy-filled plastic) in. Children get a hayride to the egg field, meet the Big Bunny, hunt for eggs, hayride to the Animal Barnyard, and feed the animals.

#2 Spring Tour: Educational Greenhouse Tour

This greenhouse experience has students plant seeds, take a hayride to the veggie garden, pick some vegetables, and feed the farm animals.

#3 Spring Tour: Strawberry Picking

Children get a hayride to the strawberry fields, where they pick some strawberries. Then they visit and feed the animals.

After any tour groups may use the picnic area, where they can eat a bagged lunch or buy sandwiches and refreshments. Tours are led by a knowledgeable guide who can answer questions about the farm.
