Using state-of-the-art equipment, the Robert J. Novins Planetarium offers a variety of wonderful star and sky shows to the public.  Each month visitors may choose from a selection of Main Features and other programs, including a concert and children's show. 

A few of the Main Features include: 

• Majestic Universe: (Recommended for age 10 and older) Explores some of the latest astrophysical discoveries, highlighting the beauty of the Cosmos. Poetry, art and stories from around the world help bring the Majestic Universe to life for the audience.
• Wonders of the Summer Sky: (All ages) This changing program explores the current night sky and includes constellation mythology and recent space mssions.
• The Stars From My Backyard: (Recommended for age 7 and older) explores the celestial view that children would see from their own backyard. The sun, weather, meteors, constellations and more are highlighted through stories and songs, making this an ideal program for the younger set.

Birthday Parties: The Robert J. Novins Planetarium offers a great birthday party package for a very reasonable price. It includes a private room, a party host, space-related ganes and activities, admission to a Star Show, and more. Call fro details.

Membership is available in A.S.T.R.A. (the Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area) for those who would like to be more involved in the exciting world of astronomy.

School Groups can enjoy specially created Planetarium Programs that meet New Jersey state curriculum standards. Call for details.

Hours: Most shows are presented in the afternoon and evenings. Call for a current calendar. 

Admission:  
Separate ticket required for each show.
Adults (13 and older) $6.50, Seniors (60+) $5.50, Children (12 and under) $5.00. Note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Group Rates are available for groups of 15 or more. Note that groups of 60 or more may need to arrange a special show time. Call for details. School Programs $2.50 per student. 

Group Reservations: 4 weeks. For schools desiring Curriculum Program, make reservations in spring preceding school year. Single programs should be reserved at least 6 weeks ahead.
